Welcome to Our Diary.
We're Kai Oszlai and Patrick Dong, two best friends who started this magazine because we loved making things and wanted to share that love with other people. What began as a small idea has grown into a place where young artists, writers, photographers, musicians, and storytellers can leave a piece of themselves behind.
To us, Our Diary has never just been a magazine. It's a collection of conversations, memories, ideas, and emotions. Every issue is different because every contributor is different. Some pages are joyful, some are heavy, some are strange, and some don't fit neatly into any category at all... and that's exactly how we like it.
We hope that when you flip through these pages, you find something that reminds you of yourself or introduces you to someone else's world. Whether you're here to read, create, or simply be inspired, we're really glad you stopped by.

If you had to know anything about me, it would be my love for art and writing. Our Diary, this little secret of mine, is my way of giving those things a home. You'll usually find me with my nose in a book, at a piano, listening to metal, or teaching someone something new.
Patrick Dong
Co-Founder & Co-President
While being committed to invoking positive change and growth in my community, I also enjoy playing chess, rock climbing, and maintaining a habit of learning something new every day.

Although I'm a junior with senioritis trying to live out the rest of my glory days, I still believe that there is passion and creativity to be found in the world. I like swimming and writing, and I try to cherish the simpler things in life.

I create in order to share stories with the world and make a space for contemplation and community when life is rushing by at a rapid pace. Often, I can be found writing, drawing, dancing, skating, and constantly trying out far too many new hobbies.

By accepting your position on the Our Diary Magazine team, you agree to the following:
1. You consent to having your name, face, email, phone number (if applicable), and social media handle(s) (if applicable) publicly displayed:

2. You agree not to share the login credentials of any Our Diary Magazine platforms (e.g. Instagram, Linktree, website backend, etc.) under any circumstances, unless explicitly told otherwise by a President or Co-President.

If a President or Co-President asks you to share login info, they will explain clearly who it’s for and why.
3. You agree to being photographed and/or recorded at ODM events, in-person meetings, or promotional shoots.

If this is ever a concern for you, it is your responsibility to let the photographer or a team lead know ahead of time.
